Morse Taper (MT) Drills
What is Morse Taper?
Morse Taper (MT) refers to the taper of a spindle on a drill that accepts arbors and other types of tooling. Primarily used on drills, the MT spindle allows the tool's arbor bore to accept a male arbor with the same-size morse taper. The item inserted is held in place by friction – without fasteners or tools. Drills with Morse Taper connections allow for quick tool changeover.
The Morse Taper number of your machine should be indicated in the manual and it is critical that you purchase the same MT accessory. Morse Taper inserts include drill bits, chucks, arbors, cutter holders, tooling, and more.
CS Unitec offers a variety of Morse Taper magnetic and hand-held drills for cutting metal, wood, and other materials. Available Morse Taper drill accessories include drill chucks, quick-lock arbors, arbors with internal or manual cooling, heavy-duty tap holders, annular cutter extensions, and reducing sleeves.
