Safety Tool Selection Guide
CS Unitec offers a complete line of High-quality Non-sparking, Non-magnetic and Non-corrosive Safety Tools. CS Unitec is a leader in special Copper Alloy Safety Hand Tools manufactured for use in any high-risk area where a spark can create a disaster.
CS Unitec Non-sparking Safety Tools are recommended for use where hazardous, flammable or combustible vapors, liquids, dusts or residues are present and should be used by all industrial safety programs. CS Unitec Non-sparking Safety Tools are an inexpensive investment for your company.
CS Unitec Non-magnetic Safety Tools are tested according to NATO specification STANAG 2897 Annex C, where the magnetic value is measured in Nano Teslar. This enables our Tools to be used around sensitive magnetic equipment, including scanners, de-mining, disarming, etc. Our Tools are NATO stock numbered.
CS Unitec Corrosion-resistant Safety Tools are the ideal choice when working in marine and offshore environments. Corrosion and rust can be extremely dangerous in hazardous environments. Impacts involving rust can initiate a thermal reaction which can cause an ignition in an explosive atmosphere.
It is important that the user of CS Unitec Safety Tools keeps the Tools in clean working order. Like other personal protection equipment, it is each user's duty to inspect the Tools before use.
We offer over 3000 individual Tools made from Special Solid Copper-based Alloyed Tools. We manufacture and supply our Safety Tools in two different alloys: Copper-Beryllium Alloy (CuBe2) and a Special Aluminum-Bronze Alloy (AlBr).
International Regulation for Work in Ex or ATEX zones demands the right equipment.
CS Unitec Copper-Beryllium Tools (CuBe2) help fulfill the demand in the ATEX directive for work in Zone 0, 1 and 2 (Gas, Mists or Vapors); Zones 20, 21 and 22 (Dusts); and M1 and M2 for mining.
CS Unitec Aluminum-Bronze Tools (AlBr) help fulfill the demand in the ATEX directive for work in Zones 1 and 2 (Gas, Mists or Vapors), plus Zones 21 and 22 (Dusts).
Safety Tools must only be ground or reshaped by companies approved for grinding such material, according to OSHA regulations.
